I think Donald Jr. does not realize what he has done! I spent an hour this morning thinking “why did he do that – to what end”. Then I realized that these Trumps are not Lex Luther, they are a cross between Gomer Pile and Otis (the Superman Otis). In other words, Junior thought he was somehow saving face and perhaps pushing back against the media reports but Jr Trump just decimated his brother-in-law, Jared Kushner. Kushner did not claim having attended any such meeting on his required disclosures. What disclosures?? Well, for every person on a President’s senior staff, there is a financial disclosure, there is a security clearance disclosure. The disclosures carry heft responsibility and, hefty penalty – “knowingly falsifying or concealing material facts is a federal felony that may result in fines or up to five years imprisonment.”
Recall how that ended for Flynn (and is not over yet). Kushner now faces sure repercussions, perhaps dismissal, if not criminal prosecution but what can we say. In Jared Kushner’s case – like father (Charles Kushner), like son Jared?
Junior also obliterated all the Trump senior staff, his pundits and counselors, indeed, all Trumpites who have been pounding down that this meeting was about an adoption?? They have been crying that the “fake, left” media are making a YUGE case out of nothing – OOPS!! And best of all – Jr moved that bar of criminality ever ever closer to Trump Sr his self!! Perhaps Trump is beginning to wonder now if even he, the King Autocrat of the White House can stop progress, our progress.
I am sure Mueller is sitting back and thinking of the Trumps, “keep on showing us the path. You all enlighten the way and we’ll bring the warrants (one day)”.
But I must agree with the Trumpite pundits who say Trump’s collusion with the Russians/Putin is not a crime. The crime in this case is – treason, espionage, perjury, obstruction. If I were lordZodTrump, I think I would rather be facing anti-trust collusion than anti-Trump treason!!
Or as I like to think of Junior Trump, “We the People are hunting too and the elephant in the room, is that which will bag two Trumps in one and see Trump Sr. lose son and a son-in-law, to CONSPIRACY, a conspiracy of lordZodTrump’s own making!! Trump Sr. pain, has a name – Donald Junior Trump”
But just like John Miller, Trump’s reality is is own fault and he must blame self for his own actions.
