When Trump announced he was giving $1-million to the state of Texas flooding issue, this sounds rather spectacular to about 99% of the We the People of the United States.

HA HA, NOT SO FAST TRUMP!!
While I am not prone to judge those who give whatever, they feel is right, because this potus boasted of his giving heart, this proud (or is it arrogance) by the potus requires an analysis.
Let’s compare that proudly, announced Trump “donation”, which is rather symptomatic of many a celebrity high wealth donations, in fact.
Here is the same ratio comparison:

- At $900,000.00 net worth, you are in the top 10% of all 330,000,000 (330-million) Americans!!
- At $150,000.00 net worth, you are in the top 40% of all Americans.
- At $38,000.00 net worth, you are in the top 60% of all Americans.
This means that 40% (132-million of us) have a net worth below $38,000.00. Just imagine what could be provided to all Americans if the top 524 richest Americans, all Billionaires, each kept $1-Billion dollars of their NET worth, an extraordinary sum of net worth to any one person or family. The remainder of net worth for each multi-billionaire were used to – make sure every person in the United States had at least a modest home, to pay down the Nat’l debt, to provide healthcare to every single person, etc. Now we know that it would require EXTRAORDINARY circumstances, to achieve such an anti-Capitalistic goal, but still.
So when someone like potus Trump boasts about donating $1-million dollars is like a family whose net worth is only but still, $150,000.00 (top 40% of Americans); Trump’s $1-million is by ratio the same as this upper middle class family donating – $37.50!! A lower income but not yet poverty family, with net worth of $40,000.00 (top 60% of all Americans) who donates $10.00, is the same as Trump’s YUGE donation. In fact the lower income family donation is much more valuable a gift since the lower income family is donating instead of having some part of their necessities whereas Trump is just having to wait one extra month before buying – another Rolls Royce! Oh no!! Having to wait one, more, month!!!
Hmmmm, Trump’s boasting about his YUGE donatinon is rather bland as it turns out.
A family with $40,000.00 net worth have a real struggle to provide necessities and make a donation whereas, a family with $4-Billion net worth, who have 100,000-times what the lower income family has to provide basic necessities. Therefore the Trump donation but really, the Trump boast of that $1-million donation – is just political pittance!
