Today marks two moments in time.
A national day of support of women of the world! These, our moms, our sisters, our friends, our partners, mothers of our children, our co-workers, and sometimes the mentors of life – deserve the highest regard and frankly there is no smart man who does not know from whence the treasures of his life’s values come from eh? We should not even need to get to the law as defines our respect and our intent. Don’t women deserve the best and more of what we can deliver? After all that is what they gave and give to each of us.
We must get it together at work, at home – everywhere! PERIOD!!
However, this is unfortunately not so, not in the minds of many men and even some women? Which brings me to another sordid legacy moment of the day; Lord Trump the Dotard first anniversary. This man has enriched our lives with endless exhilarating entertainment if not bereavement over all our values. Trump has basted and shocked us with of some of the lowest points in our history. But let us draw unto narrow focus, Trump’s absolutely worst trait ever!
The reason these two events must merge on page is that Trump is the dichotomy, the anti-matter, polar opposite – to everything we celebrate and stand proudly for today as regards women. Trump sees women as his conquest and his property. He sees them as an object to be used and abused, owned, by a wealthy, powerful man. Despite all our prodding, Trump is still of the mindset that his is the righteous treatment and that he is somehow ENTITLED to this gender-ownership. The word for that is incorrigible and deplorable and twill be Trump’s legacy.
Not to dwell on frightening horror narratives,
let us return to the joy and light of our lives, WOMEN!
Women are truly the manifest phrase “a rose by any other name will always – be a rose”. We must endeavor to treat them as such. This means respect, equality, value and let us not forget that God (or nature as it were) – endowed that we men shall betimes when equally desired by they, cherish and love women, as well.
It doesn’t get any simpler than that.
