It rained hard today in the Mojave desert, quite unusual for mid July. Someone suggested to me that “we must be living right” to be getting rain like that – and then came the Alert.

You see, in the last days there is no “living right” equals goodness. Only sudden dangerous weather ahead or unexpected pitfalls even crisis is the fate for all of We the Last Days dwellers.

And, speaking of extreme and dangerous?
It’s trump’s move this week, after being grazed on Saturday afternoon (July 13, 2024) at his anti immigration rally in Pennsylvania. A gunman was at the event with – an AR-15 assault rifle. The gunman ASSAULTED TRUMP! And as the gunman was rapid firing, he killed another rally attendee and wounded several others before being terminated – by the Secret Service sharp shooters; all that happening in seconds.
Looks like the rooster has come home!
One could say that trump, got a teeny tiny taste – of exactly what his rhetoric and that of his base has been. As tragic as any shooting is, does the phrase “you get what you paid for” apply here? The trumpites and the mainstream conservative base worship the almighty gun. Saturday, not that surprising, the semi-automatic gun, came to their rally.
But the Convict trump controls what his cult does this week upcoming. You could certainly see his hatred, his contempt; howbeit, a little bit of shock, that anyone from the US commonality would dare – take a “shot” – at him.
His parting, angry words were “FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT” with that angry fist, fist, fist of his, flailing in the air.
When did we hear that same tone from trump back in 2021?
So the question remains in this author’s mind. Who will trump decide gets retributed for this attack? You know he will demand it! One alternative at least in the short term would be trump seeing his minor brush with fate as some sort of favor to his ratings? He now has the “we feel sorry for him” voters, at least for the time being. Looking at trump history to determine what he might do signals but one outcome –
WHAT IS BEST FOR TRUMP!
Always has been, always is, always will be; therefore, all bets are off.
In the meantime, our country’s responsible and concerned leaders have once again, been trying to cool the political temperature today, the day after. Except that is for a few trump VP fantasizers – Marco Rubio, JD Vance, who are advancing rhetoric aimed at the DEMs as culprits. Others like Speaker Johnson also redirecting blame but it is apparent for a decade now, that the trumpites are the kings of violence and angry talk.
What was it the CEO of Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 said a few days ago?
Regardless, our responsible and more moderate leaders (from both parties) and in between have been suggesting today that it is time to
“TONE DOWN THE INCENDIARY RHETORIC!”
Unfortunately I believe we are past the point of resolve in our political discourse just as we are past the tipping-point of stopping climate change.
This week at the RNC Convention, there is now a choice. Will the convict trump 1] try and calm his trumpite base, or 2] will he gin up his base, igniting them – to strike back – FOR HIM! Just as he did on January 6th.
At trump rallies, certainly during the past trump presidency, and even at trump trials – there is always trumpite created chaos, violent rhetoric, demeaning and threatening of immigrants and complete lack of accountability for trump and trumpite crime – in plain sight.
This is our future with another President “Lord” Trump and his cohorts in charge of the hen house called United States or more appropriately these days, “the Divided United”.
Indeed dangerous and extreme weather conditions ahead.
